I've seen many good Neocities pages embed a music player and let you play songs while you explore. But don't be fooled... Sadly, they connect to the internet. The music isn't on the page, the music is somewhere else, on someone else's computer. If you were downloading Neocities pages all this time, hoping to comfortably browse through them from your nuclear shelter when all is gone, you will be disappointed because the music won't work.

This beautiful music is contained entirely within this page and consists of two parts - a JS midi player, which is a massive blob of javascript that actually generates the sound in your browser all by itself, and a "pieces" array that contains a numeric byte by byte representation of the midi. The player itself is quite big but the music itself isn't, and I do use a fairly inefficient representation of the music. You could have a lot of music no problem.
